For students who would like to enroll for semesters exchange in BINUS, please contact your university's international office department to learn more about exchange agreements.

o    EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Exchange to BINUS
BINUS University in Jakarta is proud to be at the forefront of the rapidly transforming higher education landscape of the resilient economy and democracy of Indonesia. If you are studying at one of BINUS UNIVERSITY’s partner institutions and would like to undertake an exchange program for one or two semester at BINUS, please first contact your International Officer at your home institution to discuss your eligibility.
Once your home institution has approved your participation, you will need to apply directly to the BINUS by filling up BINUS Study Abroad Application Form, both hardcopy and softcopy.
Upon receipt of your application the International Office BINUS will process your application and contact you for further steps.

As an exchange student, you do not need to pay tuition fee at BINUS. However, you will be responsible for your own to pay your tuition fee at your home university and personal/living expenses during the exchange program.

o    STUDY ABROAD

Study Abroad in BINUS
Study Abroad program is very similar to exchange prgram. However, the main difference between exchange program and study abroad program is on the tuition fee. During exchange program, tuition fee in BINUS is waived due to a collaboration between BINUS and your home instituion. In cases, when your home instition does not have a collaboration with us, then you will be responsible for tuition fee at BINUS as well as your personal/ living expenses that might occur during the study abroad program.

Courses at BINUS UNIVERSITY & BINUS INTERNATIONAL
BINUS programs are divided into two programs based on campus: BINUS UNIVERSITY (BU) and BINUS INTERNATIONAL (BI). Both are well-known, and are of excellent standards, and we suggest you to take all courses either in BINUS UNIVERSITY or BINUS INTERNATIONAL.
 
At BINUS INTERNATIONAL, students are taught in English. While BINUS UNIVERSITY, the classes use mainly Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language). Both campuses uses English textbooks and thus, special arrangements could be made to have certain courses offered in BU to be conducted in English.

BINUS Square - Hall of Residence
BINUS’ Hall of Residence – BINUS Square can be an option for you to stay during the program. If you plan to be a resident of BINUS Square, you will need to complete the BINUS SQUARE Application Form.

Visa - Stay Permit
In order to enter Indonesia, visa need to be obtained at the nearest Embassy of Indonesia or Consulate General of Indonesia in your country. To ensure a successful obtainment of visa, you will need to show your Letter of Acceptance and Visa Recommendation from BINUS along with the other supporting documents that can be vary.

There are two types of visas that International Student is highly recommended to apply
You are highly recommended to apply the following types of Visa:
1.    Socio Cultural Visit Visa, which allows you to stay until 180 days in Indonesia. If you plan to exchange at BINUS only for one semester, we advise you to apply this visa. It is applicable for 2 months and can be extended monthly, maximal to four times.
2.    Limited Stay Permit Visa. It is the most suitable for those who plans to exchange at BINUS more than 6 months or more. It is applicable for one/two year and can be extended annually.
