PREVIEW

Bali, Indonesia, awarded World’s Best Island 2009* as well as many other international accolades year after year, has long captured the fascination of travelers from all parts of the world. It is not just the beautiful beaches, peaceful rice paddies and historical temples that garner praises; the beautiful people, their customs, beliefs, and ways of life, not to mention genuine hospitality, make it hard not to fall in love with this island. Besides Bali, Indonesia is home to many other culinary and cultural treasures as well.

The Department of Hotel and Management and the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management of BINUS University want to take you on a memorable 11-day trip to explore in depth and breathe, in theory and practice, many issues and facets of Tourism in Indonesia. Indonesia, being the fourth most populous country in the world, with a healthy well-above 4% growth in GDP in 2009, and her capital Jakarta attracts many visitors coming for cultural and business reasons.
