BINUS Annual Quality Award 2009

We are pleased to invite BiNusian Community to participate in the third Quality Award Competition.
 
This Quality Award is a voluntarily program that is open only for BiNusian (employees, students, lecturers/teachers/trainers, and alumni). Any BiNusian who is interested to participate in this Competition is requested to register their team (not individual) to the QA Selection Committee by completing and returning the enclosed “Quality Award Application” together with the paper before the date line of paper submission is due.
 
The topic for your paper could be about quality excellence or efficiency vs. effectiveness or esthetic or organization benefit or innovation & invention. Paper should represent participant’s description on the above topic using recent data only (year 2008 & 2009).
 
The team should prepare a brief to describe the topic above using ONLY the following format content:
a.         Description of the activity
b.         Project time completion
c.         Quality Excellence or Innovation through implementation of Management System
d.         Details of Management Program to change Paradigm including methodology (approach)
e.         Data and analysis
f.         Before management program implementation
g.          Present data and analysis that show existing performance which become the consideration to define and set the priorities of your corporate management objective
h.         After management program implemen-tation
i.          Present data and analysis of perfor-mance achievement toward the defined corporate management objective
J.         Provide detail the analysis and action taken when company fails to achieve the corporate management objective
            Notes: Analysis shall be presented in form Pareto Diagram or Fishbone Diagram or Histogram or Scatter Diagram or Six Sigma or Control Charts
k.         Summary
 
Participants could use additional support tools such as pictures and graphs to support the description but shall keep the description concise and straight to the point, suggested, length max. 10 pages. Submit the complete report to QA Selection Committee no later than November 30th, 2009.

Registration is extended until August 29, 2009. Please submit the registration form as attached to Quality Management Center (PIC: Rudi – rudi@binus.edu or Pengkuh psudana@binus.edu).
 
Judges will review all papers submitted by candidates and choose ten finalists based on the following criteria:
1.         Quality Excellence or Innovation that change paradigm and added value to BiNus
2.         Details of methodology
3.         Data & Analysis method
4.         Result
 
The ten finalists will be informed by e-mail to prepare them for the final review. The finalist team are asked to make a presentation of their project to judges. Then judges will choose only three teams as the winners.
 
All finalist will receive an honourable mention during TM Annual Gathering.
 
WINNERS will receive the following prizes:
ü First winner award: a trophy and IDR 15,000,000 cash for the team
ü Second winner award: IDR 12,500,000 cash for the team
ü Third winner award: IDR 10,000,000 cash for the team

Final winner will be announced around February 2010.
